In 1998, Groz-Beckert takes over the tufting needle production of the Aachen based family company Jos. Zimmermann GmbH & Co. KG, and continues to market the company's product lines.
With effect from January 1, 2005 the integration of the Solingen based tradition company Carl Schlemper GmbH & Co. KG follows. Groz-Beckert takes over the complete product range and continues to market it. The product range contains single loopers and looper modules, tufting knives and other special accessories for all kinds of applications and processes in the carpet production.
In the textile industry, the production of tufted carpeting is one of the most recent large-surface manufacturing methods. The degree of innovative force in the tufting industry is demonstrated by the fact that the possibilities for patterning in modern high-speed tufting machines are constantly on the increase.
